Ditsela Gets A Leader
After a long and frustrating wait accompanied by uncertainty especially for the staff members, Ditsela is happy to announce that it was given a leader, an Executive Director, Miss Fundisile Nzimande. Comrade Fundi, as she’s affectionately known, started at Ditsela on the 3rd of January 2013. She comes at a time when Ditsela needs direction as far as repositioning itself as a “Global Centre of Excellence in Workers’ Education”. With her experience and leadership skills, it is believed that she, together with her staff, would try and bring understanding and the means for tackling the changing political and socio economic context of the country, the continent and the globe from an educational perspective. She has worked for many organisations, mostly sympathetic to the labour movement. She brings her Project Management experience from the Naledi Social & Economic Justice Programme. As an experienced researcher, she will beef up the research component of Ditsela. She was once a part-time Director of Ceasefire and the experience gained from there will help her take the organisation to different levels. Ditsela welcomes Comrade Fundi, and looks forward to her leadership role as she takes the organisation to new heights. We know she is at home working with the Labour Movement of South Africa.
