The “Political” Mandate

To develop a sustainable institutional model with a multi-pronged mandate comprising the following five pillars:

-Ditsela’s traditional, demand-driven, non-formal and informal capacity building education and support work;

-To provide nationally recognised accredited learning that builds the knowledge and skills of union activists, particularly youth, in order to provide quality service to workers;

-To use information and communications technology to promote and expand workers’ education including E-Learning programmes for Shop Stewards

-To build and sustain formal and informal institutional agreements, partnerships, alliances and networks for the provision and extension of workers education locally and globally;

-To recruit, develop and retain high quality cadres committed to serving the labour movement
