This short course strengthens the role of union administrators by building a clear understanding of trade union values, structures and office systems. It equips participants with practical skills in office management, record-keeping, data management and member support, ensuring efficient and responsive union administration.

The Train-the-Trainer programme builds a pool of capable union educators by equipping participants with facilitation skills, popular education methods and practical tools. The course strengthens the ability of unions to design, deliver and evaluate their own worker education programmes sustainably.

This module introduces participants to the historical development, theories and traditions of trade unions within working-class struggles. It lays the political and ideological foundation for understanding trade union organisation, solidarity and the broader labour movement.

Block Two deepens administrative capacity by strengthening communication, coordination and organisational systems within unions. It reinforces the administrator’s role in supporting leadership, ensuring effective member service and contributing to organisational efficiency.

A collaborative seminar hosted jointly by DITSELA’s Head Office and Western Cape Office, bringing participants together for critical dialogue on current political and labour issues from a working-class perspective. A participation link will be shared in advance to enable broader engagement.

Limpopo (Tzaneen); Mpumalanga (Gert Nsibande); Northern Cape (Kuruman) The Needs Analysis phase involves participatory engagement with unions and activists to identify provincial education priorities, capacity gaps and strategic interventions required to strengthen union work.
